Over the past several years, the industry trend on the Mainland (U.S) has been shifting from small, in-house metal shops to out-sourced purchasing from large manufacturing facilities.  In October 1999, three local businessmen, with extensive experience in the building and construction industry, created Unifab Industries.  Myron Nakata, Drovin D. Leis and Samuel Fujikawa established Unifab to meet growing local demand for out-sourced, finished sheet metal products.  Unifab is proud to be the only unionized sheet metal fabrication facility in Hawaii.
